Christmas is a particularly busy time at the Beyers factory, where they have to vastly increase their production of high-quality, hand decorated chocolates to satisfy the South African public. Chocolates make the perfect gift, which is why Beyers is opening a pop-up store to help them cope with the demand for affordable, luxury chocolates.
The pop-up store is a first in the history of the company, and it will open from November 2015 until March 2016, at the Cresta Shopping Centre in Johannesburg. “We’re really excited about the new store as it gives us an opportunity to introduce all our new and current ranges to the public,” says Kees Beyers, master chocolatier and founder of Beyers Chocolates. “Christmas is a popular time to buy chocolates, because they make such a great gift. No matter your age or taste, there’s the perfect chocolate for everyone.”
The spacious pop-up store is conveniently located next to the cinema in the Cresta Shopping Centre and will focus on major special occasions – Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter. Along with these themed chocolate ranges they will also stock all the Beyers best-sellers, including Amarula and Sweetie Pie, and the new Art of Chocolate luxury box range. “There’s a perfect chocolate for everyone at our pop-up shop, and our season-specific chocolates are an ideal luxury gift but with an affordable price tag. If you don’t live in Joburg you can still order your favourite chocolates through our online store,” explains Kees.
Beyers is the largest independent manufacturer of premium boxed chocolate in the country, and they have been producing chocolates for nearly three decades. For the last eleven years, loyal customers have been visiting the popular factory shop in 28 Derrick Road, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, where they have been buying their fix of Beyers chocolates.
According to Kees, “We’ve had a growing demand from customers in the Western Cape who are looking for an outlet where they can buy Beyers chocolates, and so we’ve opened a new factory shop in Montague Gardens in Cape Town.” Through the factory shops customers can buy anything, from bulk chocolates that they can enjoy during the Christmas season, to the freshest, handmade truffles for that special gift. Beyers chocolates can also be found at major retailers countrywide.
“Christmas is our busiest time, but you don’t have to wait for a specific season to eat chocolate – you should be able to eat good quality, affordable chocolate all-year round,” concludes Kees.
